The backtesting results, statistics, profit/loss figures, ROI calculations, and all other performance metrics shown are based entirely on historical data and are not indicative, representative, or predictive of future results.

Past performance of any strategy does not guarantee, suggest, or imply future returns. You should never make real-money betting, gambling, or financial decisions based solely or partly on results produced by this platform. • Reliance on backtesting results, strategy performance data, or any metrics shown
• Errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or interruptions in historical data or odds
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
• Any other matter relating to the Service

You use this Service entirely at your own risk. In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

5. Responsible Gambling

Historical match data and bookmaker odds are sourced from Football-Data.co.uk, an independent third-party provider. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data. Football-Data.co.uk is not affiliated with Football Backtester and we are not responsible for their data quality or availability.

7. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information and to keep it up to date. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for violation of these terms.

8. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service or its data
• Resell, sublicense, or commercialise the Service or its outputs without written permission
• Use the Service in any jurisdiction where such tools are prohibited by law
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

9. Subscriptions and Payments

Premium subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis. You may cancel at any time through your account settings and will retain premium access until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months or unused periods. Subscription prices may change with 30 days' prior notice. All payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to software, design, text, graphics, and logos — are the exclusive property of Football Backtester and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

When you create an account and use the Service, we collect the following information:

• Account data: email address, full name (optional), and an encrypted hash of your password — your plain-text password is never stored
• Usage data: strategies you create, backtest configurations, and results you generate
• Payment data: billing and subscription status — actual card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never seen or stored by us
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information for security and service improvement purposes

We do not collect sensitive personal data. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide and operate the Service
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send essential transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts, password reset)
• Respond to your support requests
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues
• Comply with legal obligations

We will never send you unsolicited marketing emails. We will never sell your data.

3. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Data is stored on secure servers with appropriate access controls.
